About Us

Hands of a Hero Foundation is a registered non-profit organization in Canada and Ghana. Over the years, the organization has conducted numerous youth programs in Canada, as well as many projects in Ghana. In Canada, we focus on mentorship, art, career development, leadership, and self-love based programs for youth. We have worked with many organizations such as with Eva’s Phoenix; a homeless shelter for youth in Toronto.

Since 2012, our Valentine Mentorship Dinner has empowered many young girls in the Greater Toronto Area to gain self-confidence, embrace their identity and gain a positive image about themselves.

In Ghana we have conducted many projects such as Heal the World, Care Kit Project, Breakfast for Hope, Ghana Outreach Project, Lead Academy (leadership and development program) and many more. In January 2016, we are introducing a scholarship program for selected rural communities in Ghana to provide resources for many disadvantaged children to have an opportunity to learn and become a positive influence in their community.

The Hands of a Hero Foundation’s mission is to support less fortunate children in Canada and Ghana by empowering, mentoring, educating and improving their standard living conditions. Our ultimate aim is to create awareness, raise funds, and implement programs to help eliminate poverty among children. We hope to make a difference in the lives of children by giving them hope and opportunity for a brighter future.

Our vision is to provide social-economical support, social recreation and educational programs to change lives, and help children realize their full potential.

Aims and Objectives

  • Responding to and meeting the physical and emotional needs of vulnerable children.
  • Empowering underprivileged children economically so they will become independent and productive members in their communities and society as a whole.
  • Cultivating good relationships between less fortunate children and the society at large.
  • Sharing love and confidence with children by giving them hope.
  • Reaching out and educating the public who are unaware of the social and economic issues surrounding children in Canada and Ghana.
  • Empowering and motivating children to recognize and actualize their full potential in life.
  • Finding alternative solutions to help bring positive results in the community.
  • Motivating people to reach out to the world and help through participation by volunteering, community outreach, engaging in visiting orphanages, children hospitals, and low income communities.

By administrating these aims and objectives, we hope to save and make a difference among disadvantaged children around the world.
