Care Box Project
Many of us are very fortunate to wake up every morning and have breakfast to eat and clean water to drink. But, there are many children in rural areas of Ghana and in other African countries that are not as fortunate. In 2014 the Hands of a Hero Foundation implemented new projects and programs that will allow us to work with one rural community at a time.
These new initiatives will allow us to focus on helping children, while helping the community they live in. This will enable us to study the communities we work with in order to identify their true needs, measure the progression and the sustainability of our projects. Hence, the first community we chose to work is the Village of Oboyan, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
In October 2014, we introduced the Essential Care Kit program in the Village of Oboyan. HOHF Care Kit and packages of pure water was donated to 50 families with children in the village. The kit included rice, oats, cooking oil, noodles, sugar, laundry detergent, bathing soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, mosquito repellent, and much more. Our aim is to conduct this project twice a year to make a positive impact in the lives of families with children in this village. However, we need your helping hands.
There are two ways to contribute to this wonderful cause:
1) Donate items for the Care Kit Program
Items in the box are: pure water, rice, oats, cooking oil, noodles, sugar, laundry detergent, bathing soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, mosquito repellent, can tomatoes, gari, corn beef and etc.
2) Monetary donation through our donation page
