The Clean Water Project

In 2014, Hands of a Hero Foundation adopted Oboyan, a village in the Eastern Region of Ghana. In March 2015, we had the opportunity to visit the village and observe the condition of the village for ourselves. We saw the need for the basic necessities of life such as food, clothing, health care, and most importantly clean drinking water. The nearest accessible stream to the village is about an hour walk , where many of the children from the village will walk every morning before attending school to provide water for their family and for their daily routines. The water used for their daily routines, is unsafe for drink or cooking purposes. We recognize the importance of clean water in this village, and the negative impact it has on the children; this is why the Clean Water Project was created. This initiative will enable us to bring awareness about the importance of clean water and also help us to provide the community of Oboyan with full access to clean drinking water. Having access to safe and clean water is imperative to their health, and success of many children and families.  With this project we will install a bole hole system in the village and provide the community with access to clean drinkable water.

Please help us fund a new source of drinking water for the people in the Oboyan community. Any donation amount will go a very long way.
