Matilda Mia Donkor

Director of Programs & Project
  • My past experiences with youth and or community engagement: Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of working with youth both within and outside HOHF. These experiences have allowed me to facilitate program activities, which promoted self-love, confidence and leadership skills. Through this, I've been able to increase the capacity of youth. My community involvement extends to my current role as a home visitor where I support the independence and social well-being of seniors.
  • What inspires you the most: I'm inspired by the success of others. To me, success is when an individual overcomes adversity and attains a goal, regardless of how long it takes. Success stories motivate me to reach my goals with persistence, planning, patience and prayer. I'm most inspired when an individual and/or a organization uses its influence to benefit impoverished children.
  • What defines a hero to you: A hero is someone that puts their needs aside to ensure that others feel welcomed, hopeful and comfortable. A hero embodies positivity and tries to make others happy despite the difficulties in their personal life. The actions of a true hero are solely driven by love, empathy and understanding
  • A word that sums up my aspiration for Hands of a Hero Foundation: Growth!
