- My past experiences with youth and or community engagement: I am currently in my final year of an undergraduate degree in Law & Society at York University. Throughout my studies in law, I have come to understand the ways in which the law is used as a tool to oppress disadvantaged communities all over the world. As a result, my sole motivation in life is to help others. I am currently volunteering at York University as a Peer Advisor for first year students. I am responsible for helping these individuals seek the highest level of success in academia.
- What inspires you the most: My biggest inspiration as part of the Hands of a Hero team is having the opportunity to help youth and children in their development. As part of a team such as this, I am able to touch the lives of disadvantaged children and help raise awareness, funds and support for children and youth; this is what inspires me.
- What defines a hero to you: A hero is someone who does good for others, without expecting anything in return. A hero is courageous and self-sacrificing, putting the needs of others before their own. I believe that the Hands of a Hero team strives to make a difference in the lives’ of those who are disadvantaged or less fortunate without the expectation of admiration or notoriety; that is what makes one a hero.
- A word that sums up my aspiration for Hands of a Hero Foundation:Change!
